Since the formation of the Bahrain Aviation Fuelling Company in October, 1985 Mr. Al-Gassab has occupied an Executive Management post. He also functions in the capacity of Operations Manager responsible for various company departments such as Operations, Maintenance, Material Stores, &Training, Safety & Security. Mr. AL-Gassab earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Polytechnic of Wales, in United Kingdom in 1978. Mr. Al-Gassab is involved in various professional activities and holds posts with different organizations:

1. Registered Engineering expert with the Committee for Organizing Engineering Professional Practices, Ministry of Works and Housing.
2. Chairman Of Aviation Fuelling Facilities Inspection Committee of Arab Air Carriers Organization(2004 – 2005)
3. Chairman of GCC Aviation Fuelling Companies Committee (2001/2002).
4. Member of American Standards Testing of Materials (ASTM)
   
5. Member of the National Measurement and Standardization Committee, Ministry of Commerce. (2002/2003)
   
6. Project Management Institute-Arabian Gulf Chapter Chapter Director -Bahrain (2002- to date)
   
7. Vice President and Director of Conferences of the Bahrain Society of Engineers (2000/2001)
   
8. Fellow Member of Bahrain Society of Engineers
   
9. Have contributed actively in the capacity of Chairman and Member of Organizing Committee of more than 50 major conferences at the Society especially conferences on Corrosion, Engineering, Environmental impact assessment, Concrete, Measurement and Instrumentation, Arbitration, Petroleum (Petrotech), Quality and Nondestructive Testing. Have also contributed and organized several seminars on Aviation Fuelling, Project Management and Implementation including PMP certification.
