Younes H. Makki is a Gas Turbine Engineering Specialist working for Saudi Aramco, in Saudi Arabia , in the Central Engineering Consulting Services Department. He has over 24 years of experience mainly in the gas turbine area, and is currently providing professional advice and guidance regarding acquisition, operations and maintenance of heavy industrial and aero-derivative gas turbine systems. He also provides solutions to operating and maintenance problems, looks for ways to introduce new technologies, and maintains and incorporates new and cost effective solutions to design through SA Engineering Standards and Design Best Practices.

Mr. Makki was previously with Williams International Company in Walled Lake, Michigan, where he was a senior engineering specialist working on gas turbine development for both manned an unmanned vehicles. Mr. Makki was responsible for many of the thermal system designs and had gotten involved in many gas turbine research projects.

Mr. Makki received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering degree from The University of Michigan and his Master's from the University of Toledo, Ohio. He has conducted a number of training courses internal to Saudi Aramco and is currenctly MEMEC 2007 Conference Vice Chairmain.
