Sam Y. Zamrik, Ph.D., is the 126th president of ASME serving the 2007-2008 term. Zamrik is a technical consultant and professor emeritus at Pennsylvania State University. A fellow of ASME, Dr. Zamrik served as a member of the Board of Governors from 2002 to 2005 and as vice president of the Materials and Structures group from 1998-2001. His area of expertise is pressure vessels technology. In addition to ASME, he is a life member of the American Society of Metals International, American Society for Testing and Materials, Welding Research Council, Pressure Vessel and Research Council, and International Council on Pressure Vessels Technology. |
